Biography

Mandy trained at The Royal Ballet School and Northern School of Contemporary Dance.  She currently works for Thomas Small’s company Smallpetitklein, as well as The Dance Movement, Combination Dance Company and Wise Moves Performance Dance Company.  She has previously worked with, amongst others, Akram Khan, RJC Dance Theatre, Maneuver Dance and Stephen Derrick (Phoenix). 


Mandy has worked with the Dance Movement, dancing and teaching for five years having toured ‘Looking Back-Moving Forward’, ‘Bumper II Bumper’ and ‘UK Rocks’.  She is a freelance dancer, choreographer and teacher and was recently Artistic Director of the Berkshire Youth Dance Company.


She is Artistic Director of her own company ‘Spin’ for which she has been choreographing and developing multi-media work with music producers Lodestone (Soundseasy Records).  Having premiered ‘Glitch’ at The Place as part of Resolution! 2006, she is now currently devising a new production combining live and specially commissioned music, art, film and poetry.


Mandy joined Smallpetitklein as a dancer in 2004 and became Rehearsal Director in 2007.  She also teaches extensively for the Smallpetitklein Learning & Development programme both in schools and post 16/pre vocational levels.
